Sacred Dham

Badrinath

The final divine arrival at the Vaikuntha of Kaliyuga.

About Badrinath

Badrinath is the most significant of the four Dhams and the only one that is also part of the 'Bada Char Dham'. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Badri Narayan), the temple sits at 3,133 meters between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, with the majestic Neelkanth peak providing a stunning backdrop. It is believed that Lord Vishnu meditated here for thousands of years while Goddess Lakshmi took the form of a Badri (jujube) tree to shade him. The vibrant, multi-colored stone facade of the temple is a symbol of spiritual completion and eternal peace.

☀️ Best Time to Visit

May to June and September to October. The shrine typically opens in late April or early May (Akshaya Tritiya) and closes on the day of Vijayadashami.
